Our rolling history......
An annual Concours d’Elegance is held so that members’ cars can be presented to be judged. Judging aims to recognise cars of a high standard and to assist members to restore and maintain the quality of their cars as years go past.
Judging allows members to both consider the progress of their vehicle over time and to compare their vehicle against other similar vehicles. Judging also assists those who are new to the vehicles by helping them to learn about the need for originality and how best to maintain and present their car.
The vehicle is divided into 5 sections: Interior; Exterior; Under car; Engine bay; Boot. Each section is marked for both condition and originality.
Judges are concerned with both the condition of the car (i.e. cleanliness, freedom from scratches, rust damage etc) and how original it is (i.e. how close it is to when it left the factory). Having cars in both good condition and in as original condition as possible offers enthusiasts and the car movement an important historical record.
